Movie Tickets

I love going to movies! And when I do I like to keep the tickets for some reason. So I had a bunch of movie tickets in a box and I had no idea what to do with them so I decided to frame them!

(I didn't have enough tickets to fill the entire frame so there's space to add more tickets as I see more movies)

So if you're like me and you collect movie tickets, here's something fun you can do with them!

•A hair tie
•A hot glue gun
•Scissors

Line up the 3 pieces of fabric and tie a knot

Put it underneath something heavy and spread out the fabric

Keep braiding until it is long enough to fit around your head

Tie a knot in the hair tie

Cut the knot off

Put the end through the hair tie

Fold it over and glue it with the hot glue gun

Fold the other side through the hair tie and glue it

Let it dry and you've got your headbands!!

Girls Camp

Hi everyone! I literally just got home from a week at girls camp and it was amazing!! This was my 2nd year so it definitely was a lot easier since I've done it before. This year our theme was Brave like the movie! We did so many fun things like do super fun crafts, do lots of camp songs, and just bond together! One of my favorite things we did was help build a rock wall on a trail up there. Everyone put on their work gloves and we started moving rocks from one place to the other. We decided to split up into two assembly lines and passed rocks to each other down the line. We started singing songs like I am a Child of God and As Sisters in Zion. When we were finished, one of the priesthood holders who was in charge of the service project said, "I expected for everyone to get only half of the rocks moved, but you guys moved all the rocks!" I thought that it was so great that all of us young women came together to get a job done and it made me realize that we can make a difference in the world if we all work together. I also got to know many people a lot better. There was this one 2nd year who got to come up to camp this year and she had some mental problems. But she was one of the sweetest girls that I have ever met! She always gave people hugs and she always said hi to everyone. One of the days at camp she wrote a song about being brave and she got to sing it in front of everybody and I almost started crying because I felt the spirit so strongly. Today at camp she went around with her notebook and gave everyone her autograph. She's one of those girls that I am really going to miss a lot. It was so great to hear everyone's testimony during testimony meeting! Everyone had totally different perspectives on life and I just loved hearing what they all had to say! I actually got up enough courage to go up and share my testimony. I made it short because other people wanted to go up after me but in my short little testimony I said that I know this church is true. I know it for myself and I hope you all know it too. On testimony night, the bishopric from all the wards came up to camp and they all came wearing kilts! My dad just so happens to be second counselor in my ward's bishopric so it was super funny to see him wearing what looked like a skirt! My dad had gone up to our cabin this morning but when I came home today, I found a note on the counter from my dad and it said, "Dear Josette, Welcome home! You survived another year at girls camp! I hope you had a swohiggety sweet time. We missed you! I noticed that our family was not the same without you. I was glad to be able to come up to see a little bit of what it was all about. I was proud of you for bearing your testimony. It was the highlight of my week. I love you! Love, Dad" I just loved that so so much! It was such a great thing to come home to! I hope you all are going to your girls camp or had fun going!

~Lexie, Alyssa, Madison, Josette

Hi... I'm Alyssa!

Hi! My name is Alyssa. I am 11 years old and my older sister is Lexie and I am the second oldest of 4 kids. I play the fiddle and piano. I also do ballet. Ballet is my life! I have been dancing since I was 3 and I am getting my point shoes this summer!! My piano teacher is Mormon and is very nice. I love piano because my teacher teaches me hymns and other church songs too. I love playing the fiddle! It is super fun and I really enjoy it! I also have been joining something called the Rainbow Fiddle Kids. This is something my teacher runs and we perform in front of retirement homes a lot and that allows me to serve others. I am very excited to go into young women's. I can't wait to go to the temple and do baptisms for the dead. I am also very excited to go to girls camp and can't wait for that great experience. I have had many great experiences from
traveling. When ever we travel we go and see the temples. In Rome we went to the temple though it was not finished, yet we still went and saw the construction site! I really hope we can go back and see the Rome temple when It is finished! I have a lot of older friends like Madison, Brooklyn, and Josette. None of my younger friends that go to my school are Mormon so I tend
To hang out with all of the older Mormon girls. I wish I had people my age that are Mormon and go to my school. But I love Madison, Brooklyn, Josette, and Lexie (my older sister) and love hanging out with them and I have learned a lot from them!!

Tube scarf tutorial!(:

So one day I was randomly experimenting with my old Fitness T-shirt cause I wanted to do something AWESOME with it! I ended up with this super cute tube scarf! Here's how it works:
Start out with an old tshirt that you won't wear anymore. Cut underneath the sleeves so that all you are left with is the bottom part of the shirt!
Now take the bottom part of the tshirt and cut little 1inch wide strips, but make sure not to cut all the way through! I would leave about 1 inch at the top uncutted. After your shirt looks like this, you are then going to lightly pull each strand.
Until you get this:
Your scarf is now ready to be worn! Have fun with it!
